Abstract<\/strong>
\nGalaxy stands as a well-established global workflow platform, widely utilised by researchers worldwide, resulting in over 12,000 peer-reviewed publications. A key principle of Galaxy is the provision of diverse tools for data processing. This workshop aims to demonstrate a clear
\nand straightforward process for incorporating tools into Galaxy, enabling attendees to integrate their own tools. As a result, researchers can access an expanded array of analytical options within the Galaxy framework and tool developers get citations and exposure of their tools.<\/p>\n

Intended audience<\/strong>
\nBioinformaticians, computer scientists, researchers interested in participating in the development and maintenance of bioinformatics tools will benefit from this workshop. A basic knowledge of Galaxy (https:\/\/usegalaxy.org.au\/) is recommended.<\/p>\n

Materials<\/strong>
\nThe workshop will use material from the Galaxy Training Network, focusing on Tool development and integration into Galaxy:

Biography<\/strong>
\nMr. Mike Thang is a Computational Biologist at the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation. He works with researchers to build bioinformatic pipelines on Galaxy and HPC infrastructure.
\nDr. Cameron Hyde is a Bioinformatician at the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation. He has a background in transcriptomics and develops new tools, resources and features for Galaxy Australia.
\nDr. Bj\u00f6rn Gr\u00fcning is leading the European Galaxy Projekt, which is part of ELIXIR and the European Open Science Cloud. He is involved in the Bioconda and Biocontainers project.
\nDr Gareth Price is Project Lead of Galaxy Australia (usegalaxy.org.au). He has held this position for over 4 years, and previously worked for QCIF Data Sciences as Head of Computational Biology<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
