Detailed Instructions for Full Paper Submissions
All submitting authors are required to submit together with the manuscript a cover letter clearly stating the name of their preferred journal (e.g. BMC Genomics).
In the cover letter, the corresponding author should provide full contact details: complete mailing address, telephone, and fax contact numbers and e-mail address(es). The corresponding author must certify that the work submitted is original and has not been submitted elsewhere for publication. Furthermore, if accepted, the corresponding author must agree to pay the specified article processing charges as well as reformat the accepted version of the manuscript in accordance with the journal requirements. At least one author of any accepted manuscript must be an APBioNet member (https://www.apbionet.org/membership), clear the conference registration fee, and be present at the conference to deliver the oral presentation.
Journal Choices
BMC Genomics
considers all aspects of genome-scale analysis, functional genomics, proteomics, “big data” and “giga” science. Instructions for BMC Genomicsauthors:
https://bmcgenomics.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines
BMC Medical Genomics
considers articles on all aspects of functional genomics, genome structure, genome-scale population genetics, epigenomics, proteomics, systems analysis, and pharmacogenomics in relation to human health and disease. Instructions for BMC Medical Genomics authors:
https://bmcmedgenomics.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines
BMC Systems Biology
considers articles on experimental and theoretical aspects of the function of biological systems at the molecular, cellular or organismal level, in particular, those addressing the engineering of biological systems, network modeling, quantitative analyses and the integration of different levels of information. Instructions for BMC Systems Biology authors:
https://bmcsystbiol.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines
BMC Bioinformatics
considers all aspects of the development, testing and novel application of computational and statistical methods for the modeling and analysis of all kinds of biological data, as well as other areas of computational biology. Instructions for authors: https://bmcbioinformatics.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines
Please read the descriptions of each of the article types (research article, methodology article, database article and software article), choose which is appropriate for your work and structure the manuscript accordingly. If in doubt, your manuscript should be formatted as a Research article.
The start date for BMC submissions isFebruary 1, 2019.
All manuscripts for BMC Genomics, BMC Bioinformatics, BMC Systems Biology, and BMC Medical Genomics must be submitted directly through the BMC supplement issue editorial management system. Manuscripts not complying to formatting, submissions and supplementary data guidelines of the four BMC journal will be returned to authors without peer review. The peer review will be handled through the BMC EM system. The article publications charges for accepted manuscripts will be directly invoiced and collected by BMC.

GigaScience
GigaScience is an Oxford University Press journal and adopts an open review policy. Papers for this journal will be submitted to the EasyChair system. Publication charges depend on the type of article and can be found out on the journal website.
Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for GigaScience will be invited to register for InCoB 2019 and present their work there.

Bioinformatics
The leading journal in its field, Bioinformatics publishes the highest quality scientific papers and review articles of interest to academic and industrial researchers. Its main focus is on new developments in genome bioinformatics and computational biology. Detailed instructions for authors can be found at https://academic.oup.com/bioinformatics/pages/General_Instructions
Papers for this journal will be first submitted to EasyChair.
Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for Bioinformatics will be invited to register for InCoB 2019 and present their work there. However, please be informed that some of the papers recommended for Bioinformatics may be later rejected by the journal in the second stage of the review, even if they are given an opportunity to present at InCoB.
To submit a paper to Bioinformatics, please prepare your manuscript in a PDF format and upload it to
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=incob2019
Please also include a cover letter mentioning that the paper is to be considered for Bioinformatics
PeerJ
PeerJ (https://peerj.com/) is an open access peer-reviewed scientific mega journal covering research in the biological and medical sciences. Instructions for authors: https://peerj.com/about/author-instructions/
Papers for this journal need to be submitted directly to the PeerJ website
https://peerj.com/about/preprints/scope-and-instructions/
for the peer-review process to begin. When authors transfer their paper from PeerJ pre-prints to PeerJ they are requested to specify in their PeerJeditor cover letter that the paper is intended for InCoB 2019. Publication charges for PeerJ are nominal and can be found out on the journal website. Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for PeerJ will be invited to register for InCoB 2019 and present their work there.
Computational Biology and Chemistry (CBAC)
Computational Biology and Chemistry is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Elsevier covering all areas of computational life sciences. (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/computational-biology-and-chemistry)
Papers for this journal will be submitted to and reviewed through EasyChair. There are NO publication charges for CBAC.
Authors of the papers accepted provisionally for CBAC will be invited to register for InCoB 2019 and present their work there. Even though CBAC will not review the papers again but the technical check, such as plagiarism tests may be carried out and a paper may not be finally published in CBAC for this reason, if high matches are detected. Also, the papers in CBAC will be published as an InCoB 2019-specific section in a regular issue instead of having a full issue dedicated to the conference.
To submit a paper to CBAC, please prepare your manuscript in a PDF format and upload it to
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=incob2019
Please also include a cover letter mentioning that the paper is to be considered for CBAC.
