Visa Information

International participants attending The 25th International Conference on Bioinformatics (InCoB 2026) are advised to check the latest entry visa requirements before traveling to Malaysia.

General Information

  • A valid passport (with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of entry) is required for all visitors.
  • Citizens of ASEAN countries (except Myanmar) do not require a visa for short visits (up to 30 days).
  • Visitors from many Commonwealth and European countries, as well as the United States, Japan, and South Korea, also enjoy visa-free entry for stays between 30 to 90 days.
  • Delegates from countries requiring a visa must apply in advance at the nearest Malaysian Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate.

Visa Application Documents

Applicants are typically required to provide:

  • A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
  • Completed visa application form
  • Recent passport-sized photograph
  • Letter of invitation from the InCoB 2026 organizing committee
  • Confirmed return air ticket and proof of accommodation
  • E-Visa Option
  • Delegates from eligible countries may apply online via the Malaysian eVisa portal

Processing usually takes 3–7 working days.
